The Africa Blockchain Festival and the World Token Summit have forged a strategic alliance, co-branding their events at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi from October 15-17, 2026, according to TechCabal. The partnership marks World Token Summit’s official debut on the continent.
“This strategic alliance with World Token Summit is a defining milestone in that journey,” said Olubunmi Fabanwo, convener of the Africa Blockchain Festival. The festival’s 2026 theme, “Capital, Code and Continuity: Building Africa’s Permanent Digital Economy,” will center on real-world asset tokenization, stablecoins, cross-border payments and enterprise blockchain adoption.
World Token Summit founder Ahmed Refaie said the alliance “enables us to bring our international ecosystem into Africa while creating new pathways for investment.” His summit’s recent Dubai edition hosted more than 100 speakers, and organizers expect a similarly global roster for the Nairobi gathering.
Investors, venture capital firms, government regulators, developers and technology executives from Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America are expected to attend the three-day event, according to The Star. Government and regulatory roundtables will run alongside venture capital and startup investment forums.
The Nairobi alliance follows a broader pattern of international events courting African capital this year, including the FT Africa Summit in London. Sponsorships and delegate registration are open through africablockchainfestival.com and worldtokensummit.net.
