Nigerian Afrobeats star Yemi Alade released her seventh studio album, “It’s Yemi Alade,” on September 11, marking her tenth body of work overall and a follow-up to 2024’s “Rebel Queen.”
The 16-track project features Ferré Gola, Don Jazzy, Singuila and Jeriq, with standout collaborations including “Coco na Yam” with Gola, “Ala Bekee” with Don Jazzy, “Paradise” with Singuila and “Overtake” with Jeriq.
The album blends rumba, highlife, R&B and Afro-house into a pan-African, guitar-driven sound, continuing Alade’s reputation for genre-crossing storytelling across the continent and its diaspora.
“A love letter to my day 1 fan-mily and a toast to new beginnings and a brand new movement for me,” Alade said of the release, which is now available globally on streaming platforms.
