Damian Shima is a talented artist who creates stunning paintings and sculptures by the river. He is known for his unique style and the way he captures the essence of the river in his work. Shima’s art is not only visually stunning, but it also evokes emotions and tells a story about the river and its surroundings.

Shima grew up in a small town near a river and spent most of his childhood fishing, swimming, and exploring its banks. This early connection with the river left a lasting impression on him and inspired him to pursue a career in art. He studied painting and sculpture at a local art school and went on to develop his own style, which was heavily influenced by his love for the river.

Damian T.S. is a creative, dynamic, and versatile young artist who believes in hard work and resilience to life’s many encumbrances. He has a Fine Arts Studio (Damian Arts) and has donated many of his artworks as gifts to organizations, churches, and individuals. His vision and mission remain to reanimate and revamp the purest originality of the African Culture (Black Arts). He is preparing to have the first-ever Hyper-Mixed Art exhibition in Benue State.

One of the hallmarks of Shima’s work is his ability to use color to convey the mood of the river. He uses a palette of blues, greens, and grays to create a sense of calmness, while also incorporating brighter colors to represent the energy and movement of the water. His paintings often depict the river in different seasons and at different times of day, allowing viewers to experience its ever-changing beauty.

I want to leave a world where I did my best to inspire good memories for all through my art.

At age six, Damian T.S. started developing himself without a teacher or mentor. His grandfather, a wood carver, picked interest in his zeal and took him under his tutelage where Damian T.S. was mentored in wood carving. The old man would later pass on but left Damian T.S. with the words “you are your own teacher and master my dear boy”.

In addition to his paintings, Shima is also a skilled sculptor. He creates sculptures using a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and stone, to create unique pieces that are inspired by the river. His sculptures often feature abstract shapes and forms that represent the river’s flow and movement. He also incorporates natural elements, such as stones and driftwood, into his sculptures to give them a sense of connection to the river and its surroundings. According to him;
