The Ojomu Royal Family of Ajiran Land, led by Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye, issued a strong public statement addressing both murders that of Sheriff Salami Ishola (April 18, 2023) and Prince Ademola Akinloye (August 26, 2024) which have been a major community concern in Ajiran, Lekki, Lagos State.

In the statement, the royal family praised the Nigeria Police and security agencies for their renewed investigations into the killings. They expressed full support for law enforcement efforts to uncover the truth and ensure that perpetrators are held accountable.

The Oba reaffirmed the need for justice and protection of lives in the kingdom, stating that the investigation is to secure justice for the victims and safety for residents of the Ajiran community.

The statement was jointly signed by the Oba and the Balogun of Ajiran Land, showing unity of the royal institution in calling for effective law enforcement.

There is no widely published direct speech or quote from Oba Akinloye specifically delivered to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu available in major Nigerian news sources as of latest reporting. Media outlets covering the case focus on the royal family’s statement on the investigations and community safety, not a direct address to the President.

Police investigations have recently been revived, leading to nine suspects being taken into custody in connection with Prince Ademola Akinloye’s killing and linked to Sheriff Salami’s murder highlighting community and official pressure for justice.

So, while the Oba and his council have publicly commended security agencies and stressed the need for justice, there’s no separate, direct recorded message from him to President Tinubu specifically about these killings in the major news reports currently available.
