Big Win: Nigeria beat South Korea in U-20 Women’s World Cup – 1:0

The Nigeria women’s national under-20 football team, the Falconets beat South Korea’s Taegeuk Nangja 1-0 on Sunday in the Group C football match at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium, Costa Rica,

The win came after Esther Onyenezide’s strike granted the Falconets a win in their second game of the tournament.

The Christopher Danjuma girls will play with Canada in their final group match on Wednesday 17th, 2022.

Meanwhile, the match between Falconets and Taegeuk Nangja  was scheduled for 9 pm but later shifted to 10.15 pm due to heavy rain.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is an international association football tournament, organized by FIFA, for national teams of women under the age of 20. The tournament is held in even-numbered years. It was first held in 2002 as the FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship with an upper age limit of 19
