The historic 70 years as the longest serving queen and monarch of Britain, Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary II who was born on 21 April 1926 in Mayfair, London, United Kingdom is today confirmed dead at the age of 96, at her home at Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire in United Kingdom of cours today being Sept. 8, 2022.
She was married to the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip in 1947, and together with her husband Prince Phillip was crowned in 1953 for many who don’t know, the Queen’s death came a year after her husbands’ Prince Phillip who died in 2021.
Immediately upon the passing of the queen, Prince Charles who happens to be the Queen’s eldest son and the longest serving heir to the throne was crowned king.
Prior to becoming king today he was the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay from 1952 to his accession in 2022 and was both the oldest and the longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
